I actually spent Php 50.00 for that Piggy. His name's Alkie. But next time, I'd rather make a recycled Piggy.
Here are some of the ways I found very rewarding when it comes to saving money. Saving was really hard for me especially when I was in high school. But now that I spend my own money and lost the advantage of having to ask my father for allowance all the time, I realized that it's not too late to learn to save.
Learn how to do things on your own. Some of us
may spend money on facial or nail salon when in fact, all these services can be
done at home by you. Why not invest on products that can complete your facial
needs? Natural ingredients can be an alternative to some of these products
anyway. Just look at my nails, I made them out of magazine cutouts.
Learn how to cook satisfying dishes.
Instead of
always eating out, some people spend some of their time learning new dishes.
This way, they enjoy bonding with their family while preparing for a healthy
dish.
Recycle. I recycle as much as possible. When I need something in my room, like a desk organizer, I make it.
Before going out, list down the only items you plan to buy. In case you are tempted to purchase that very cute item in a store, ask yourself, ‘Do I need this?’. Be honest with yourself and always remember your goal: To save money.
Take advantage of SALE items. But before indulging in shopping during a sale, ask yourself if you need the items. I really love to buy this book when I was a little younger. It was a gift actually but I would've bought it on a sale. :D
