Interesting Sea Creatures

Anglerfish
Most people say that this fish is the ugliest animal on Earth. This creature lives in the deep and dark part of the sea. Some Angler Fish can grow up to one meter in length. Females’ dorsal spine extends outside their head, just above their mouth. They use this to lure and catch prey. The males on the other hand do not need this tool. After mating with a female Angler Fish, males attach their bodies with the females’. Eventually, their bodies will fuse and male Angler Fish will lose some of its features leaving only its testes.

Axolotl
This sea creature is also known as Ambystoma mexicanum and Mexican Walking Fish (although it’s not really a fish, it is an amphibian). What’s amazing about this amphibian is that it is stays as a larva all its life.
A lot say that Axolotl looks like a lizard that is why they think it is a reptile. This animal is one of the many endangered species on Earth. These creatures are native to the lakes of Mexico. Because of the city’s continuous expansion, Axolotl continues to stay in laboratories for survival.

Viperfish
Viperfish (aka Fangfish) may be small (growing up to 30cm long) but it really is dangerous. As you can see, it has a very big mouth (that almost does not fit its face) and very sharp teeth. Like the Anglerfish, Viperfish has a tool that attracts preys. Because of the flickering of its bait, other sea creatures get curious and end up being eaten.
